How it works

  1. Drop one or more .xml or .pdf invoices on the box above, or click to choose files.
  2. The invoice is shown as a clear, readable document with parties, line items, VAT and payment details.
  3. Print it, save it as PDF, or export the data to Excel or CSV for your accounting.

Why do I get invoices as XML files?

Across Europe, invoices are moving from paper and plain PDFs to structured e-invoices based on the EN 16931 standard. Germany requires every business to be able to receive e-invoices since 1 January 2025, Belgium made Peppol e-invoicing mandatory between businesses in 2026, and France is rolling out its reform from September 2026. Accounting software reads these files automatically, but if you just want to see what an invoice says, an XML file is hard to read. This viewer turns it back into a readable document.

Supported formats

Private by design

Invoices contain bank details, prices and customer data. This viewer runs entirely in your browser: files are read locally with JavaScript and are never uploaded to a server. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded.

Frequently asked questions

Is this e-invoice viewer really free?

Yes. Viewing, printing and exporting invoices is free and needs no account.

Are my invoices uploaded anywhere?

No. The files are processed by JavaScript inside your browser and are never sent to a server.

Can I convert an XML invoice to PDF?

Yes. Open the invoice and click “Print / Save as PDF”, then choose “Save as PDF” as the printer.

Does it validate my invoice?

It checks that the totals add up (sum of lines, VAT and amount due). It is not a full EN 16931 Schematron validation, so use an official validator before sending invoices to public authorities.

What about a PDF that should contain XML?

ZUGFeRD and Factur-X invoices are PDFs with an XML file attached. Drop the PDF and the viewer extracts and displays the XML. If no XML is found, the PDF is an ordinary PDF and not an e-invoice.
